The boy from the bush, Lee Kernaghan, will be back in town soon, taking to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre stage to kickstart the new year.
Kernaghan is one of the all-time greats of Australian music with 39 number one hits and a ute load of Golden Guitar awards to his credit.
After all touring plans for 2020-21 were cancelled due to COVID, Lee said he was looking forward to getting back on stage to celebrate 30 years since the release of his first album.
“2022 is the 30th anniversary year of the release of my first album the Outback Club, so we will be taking out a new show featuring all the hits to celebrate,” Lee said.
Manager of the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre Paul Dellit OAM said he was looking forward to having Lee back in Bundaberg, performing for the community on Saturday, 12 February 2022.
“The whole team at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre are very excited that Australian country music superstar Lee Kernaghan is returning to Bundaberg after a two-year absence,” Paul said.
“Bundy audiences love Lee Kernaghan, and there will be no better way to kick off 2022.”
Lee was awarded Top Selling Album of the Year last year for his Backroad Nation album.
He is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist who has won four ARIA Awards including The ARIA Special Achievement Award for the Spirit of The Anzacs album and the Number One all genres album of 2015.
Tickets will be on sale here for the event from 10am tomorrow, Friday 19 November.
