There are smiles all around at Moore Park Beach Community Hall, with the community facility reopening on Thursday.
Hall booking coordinator Sylvia Abel said it was great news for Moore Park Beach.
“Everyone is thrilled to have it open again,” Silvia said.
“The community really missed it.”
Since the Community Hall closed on 18 March, members of the Moore Park Beach Community Association have been busy with cleaning, while their groundsman has been busy working with Council’s parks and gardens crew to revamp the gardens.
“The hall has a number of regular bookings and those groups haven’t wasted any time coming back to do what they love,” Silvia said.
“On Mondays we have seniors in the morning and karate at night, Tuesday nights is yoga, Wednesday mornings tai chi, Thursdays yoga in the morning and karate in the evening.
“On Fridays exercise classes are held, Saturday mornings yoga is held and twice a month on Sundays church is held in the Hall.
“After the school holidays playgroup on Tuesday and Scouts on Wednesday evening will return.
“I can assure you everyone is thrilled to be able to go back to their groups.”
With such a busy timetable Sylvia said there is still plenty of time available for one-off and special events.
“The hall is also a great place for weddings, birthdays, engagements or any excuse for a celebration.”
Anyone interested in attending the regular events will find contacts and times for each group on the notice board at the hall.
