Bundaberg Regional Council is reminding ratepayers that Monday, 9 March 2020 is the final day to pay rates.
Council will endeavour to send an SMS reminder to ratepayers who have their mobile number recorded on Council’s Rates database on or around 6 March 2020.
Paying the total amount by the due date will save ratepayers 10% on their General Rates.
If a Council pensioner rates concession applies, this amount is deducted before the discount is calculated.
Payment can be made by any of the various payment options listed on the back of rate notices.
Residents can still can pay their rates electronically until midnight and receive their discount on general rates, provided they are paying all rates and charges and any arrears that are owing.
Council advises ratepayers to keep an electronic record of payment in case proof of payment is required to receive the discount in the event of a delay in bank processing.
Ratepayers have until close of business on Monday, March 9, to make payment in person at any of Council’s service centres located at Bundaberg, Bargara, Childers and Gin Gin.
