The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre will be one of just 18 venues in Australia to host a performance as part of the Dr Hook 50th anniversary tour.
A founding member of the popular American band, Dennis Locorriere, will be on the road from next month, starting in Sweden and Norway.
Dr Hook had its first number one single in Australia with Syliva’s Mother in 1972 and made it to the top again five years later with Walk Right In.
Locorriere said the Dr Hook 50th Anniversary Tour is not only a celebration of the band’s long musical history but it’s also a heartfelt “thank you” to all the many fans who continue to keep the music alive by passing it on, from generation to generation.
“The world has changed in so many ways over the past five decades,” he said.
“It’s a comfort and a joy to see people of all ages coming to the shows today, reminding us that some things stay strong within us and can keep us together forever.”
Tickets for the September 25 Bundaberg show are available now from the Moncrieff.
