Residents and local businesses can help support community members in need this festive season through the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal.
The appeal raises funds for local charities to provide hampers, vouchers or gifts to local residents in need of a helping hand to make their Christmas special.
Donations of any amount are welcome, with each $100 raised providing a family hamper.
Business can donate or sponsor the appeal, with platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsorship packages available.
Groups, businesses and organisations wishing to get behind the appeal can consider holding an event like ‘Free Dress Day’ as a fundraiser.

This year’s charity partners are the Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Bundaberg, St Vincent de Paul Childers, Angels Community Group and Citicoast Pantry, in addition to the Council-run Childers and Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centres.
