The 2024 Milbi Festival kicks off in October and offers a range of events that celebrate culture, community, environment and the vibrant spirit of our region.
Weaving Garden
Explore the fibre artform of weaving in a relaxed environment under the guidance of artisans who will be on hand to share their expertise and passion.
Whether a seasoned weaver or a beginner, this creative opportunity is available for everyone, regardless of age or experience and all are welcome.
In this free event, all materials are provided to learn something new and share the joy of creating this form of art with others.
Gurang Ghurri Community Cricket Match
The Milbi Festival’s very own version of the Big Bash competition will see the Gurang Ghurri Community take on a first responders’ team in the fast-paced and popular T20 format.
Come along and enjoy the action at Kendall Flat with free entry and a barbecue.
Yesterday Today and Tomorrow
Enjoy a half-day immersive Indigenous experience during a ‘Yarn Time’ morning tea.
Learn more about the Indigenous culture by tasting raw flavours of a native bush tucker and learn about traditional artefacts and how they were used in daily life.
