Options Day is a community led disability expo that opens pathways to support, upskill and educate people living with disability, their family, friends and carers.
This year’s theme is ‘Ignite Access’ and the All Abilities Alliance of Bundaberg is asking
the community: What does accessibility mean to you?
What would you like to see in Bundaberg that would help improve your life or the life of someone you care for?
All Abilities Alliance Bundaberg is working in partnership with the Bundaberg
Neighbourhood Centre to host Options Day on Tuesday 10 September at
the Recreational Precinct, Main Pavilion from 9 am to 1 pm.
This event is local and community driven, it invites the community to discover the
rapidly emerging opportunities in the local disability sector.
Options Day offers inclusive hands-on and engaging activities, demonstrations, singing and dancing for the whole community.
The event features information stalls, chill out zone, a quiet sensory hour, food and drink stalls plus much more.
This year community groups and sporting clubs are encouraged to host a stall to share what they do and how new members may access what they offer in the Bundaberg community.
Options Day is open to all schools and members of the public.
Local businesses are encouraged to attend to meet with the community, connect with people and learn about the opportunities this thriving region and sector has to offer.
This year marks 13 years of Options Day in Bundaberg and is proudly brought to
you by the Bundaberg All Abilities Alliance – A collaborative group of businesses,
services, and members of the disability community.
