Bundaberg Regional Council’s Streets of Remembrance program honours local veterans by adding their badge of service to the streets named after them.
The initial launch of the program saw 30 streets identified with registrations open for consideration in the second stage.
Community members are encouraged to nominate future street name suggestions as well as help to identify existing streets already named after veterans to be included in the program.
Applications are available through the Council website here and will be assessed as specified within the project guidelines.
Find a list of recognised streets here with information gathered from Council records and the Australian National Archives.

What about adding war zones like Alamein, Tobruk, Churchill, etc, etc, all in Svensson Heights. Many streets named after battles.
yes a number of streets in the Norville and Svensson Heights area where named after battles in ww2 some were named for important figures such as Churchill St its a sticky one as these are places and some of the people were not australian troops such as churchill who of course was the British pm
