In Our Group with Bundaberg Bridge Club
Train your brain with Bridge as President Anne Portess and Secretary Rhonda Chantler explain the ins and outs of the club.

Tell us about the Bundaberg Bridge Club?
The Bundaberg Bridge Club is a small friendly club with ample parking and is located on Kendalls Road opposite the airport.
For more than 50 years, players have enjoyed playing the game of bridge in a friendly, but competitive environment.
It's affiliated with the Australian Bridge Federation and the Queensland Bridge Association.
We have 80 members currently and we're working on expanding that.
The sessions are held on Monday afternoon from 1 pm for a 1.30 pm start and on Wednesday and Friday mornings commencing at 8.30 am for a 9 am start.
Lessons are held for beginners on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Who can join the club?
Anyone can join, it's not age restricted.
It allows the opportunity for anyone and everyone to come and socialise but also engage in something that is mentally interesting.
Every year we have a congress that is held in July that is open Australia wide.
Many people come to compete in the competition from all around the state.
What is bridge all about?
Bridge is the most popular mind game in the world, which is why a lot of people play because it is the best tool to be fun but also exercise the brain.
You can start to play at an easy level, but you never stop learning, which is why it doesn't become boring.
It's a team game. So like many sports where you learn to work with other people this requires that skill.
What makes it different from other card games is that you're communicating, giving messages and answering codes from your partner.
If the opponent is up to speed, they know exactly what you're telling your partner and they can request that information.
