Now in its fifth year, local businesses are teeing up to support the ever-popular Carinbundi Foundation annual Charity Golf Day.
Community Relations Manager Tina Marshall said the event, which was the Foundation’s major fundraiser for the year, had received plenty of support.
“The Carinbundi Foundation was established to provide quality accommodation to support people with a disability to live independently, at rents that are discounted from the open market rate,” Tina said.
“Our mission is to provide quality and affordable homes for life.
“Because we own the properties, we can offer complete security and peace of mind to residents and their families, knowing they have a long-term home for as long as they want or need.”
Local businesses are encouraged to support the day by sponsoring a hole for $295 (without a team) or $500 (with a team), by making a donation or by entering a team to play on the day.
The event will tee off at 10 am with a four person Ambrose game – a fun format which sees all four players working together as a team.
There will be raffles and other fun activities, all with fantastic prizes on offer.
Refreshments, including course drinks cart, a coffee van and a BBQ will be available.
Tina said this year’s event would be bigger and better, with many more valuable prizes on offer thanks to major sponsor IT&C’s increased and generous support.
“The golf day is a fantastic opportunity for business and community to come together and have some fun, whilst raising funds that will make a real difference in someone’s life,” she said.
IT&C Technical Account Manager Damien Cockers said the business recognised the important work the Foundation did in providing quality accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
