Members can now access over 1.2 million titles with hoopla digital, a new, free streaming service offered by Bundaberg Regional Libraries.

The platform hosts a range of entertainment and educational content, such as hit TV series and movies, newly released music, bestselling audiobooks, eBooks and more.

Available titles can be streamed from any computer or mobile device by downloading the free digital app for iOS and Android.

Users will need an email address, their library membership card number and corresponding PIN or password to register.

Members can stream up to ten titles per month and the content is accessible simultaneously, meaning there are no waiting times.

hoopla digital is a category-creating service that has partnered with public libraries across North America, Australia and New Zealand to provide online access to a vast digital catalogue.

The service allows members to borrow content immediately from anywhere using a platform which integrates multiple media formats into a single intuitive user experience.

Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the service was an exciting new resource for local library card holders.

“We’re very excited to offer hoopla to our library members,” Cr Learmonth said.

“It provides a great variety of accessible content and best of all it has simultaneous access which means you don’t have to wait for titles to become available.

“hoopla is part of our commitment to ensuring our community has the opportunity for recreation and education through the content provided by these kinds of digital formats.”

The free hoopla digital service is available for download here or via your app store.

Members can contact Bundaberg Regional Library for help setting up or resetting their unique library PIN or password details by calling 4130 4140, popping in to local libraries in Bundaberg, Childers and Gin Gin or emailing library@bundaberg.qld.gov.au.
