Car enthusiasts will be in for a treat with the return of the Buxton Classic Car and Motorcycle Festival on the River next month.
The annual event will be held on Sunday, 4 August from 9am at Riverside Park.
An initiative of the Buxton Friendship Association, the festival will showcase a range of exceptional vehicles and bikes, according to organiser Mark Love
“This is a very popular day out and we have people coming from Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Childers Gladstone and more to participate,” he said.
“There will be judges and trophies awarded to the best looking classic cars and motorcycles.”

“All proceeds are donated back into the community.”

Mr Love said the Buxton Friendship Association had been established since 2008 and aimed to raise funds for various organisations.
“We have donated to Volunteer Marine Rescue, RACQ Lifeflight, the rural firies, Cancer Council and more,” he said.
“We meet every second month to discuss what areas in the community might need our help and go from there.
“We aim to be a bit of a bind int he fabric of the community, to bring people together and support them.”
