Bundaberg on display with Big Cash Catch

Bundaberg’s two iconic drinks are taking the region’s name centre stage during the summer cricket season as part of a new competition.

During the Australia vs. South Africa Test Series and at the Women’s One Day International against Pakistan, there will be a chance for lucky patrons to put on the Bundy Bear wicket gloves and try their luck at taking home $50K.

Bundaberg Rum Distillery Marketing Manager Duncan Littler said it was fantastic to see Bundaberg Rum and the region’s name on the world stage during the cricket season.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Cricket Australia,” Duncan said.

“As part of this partnership we have launched the Big Cash Catch competition which gives fans the opportunity to win $50K and do something that I have always wanted to do, and that is catch a cricket ball in front of tens of thousands of passionate fans at an Australian cricket ground.

“It will be fantastic to see Bundy on the world stage once again whilst also bringing something new to the great game of cricket.”

Duncan said Australian’s loved celebrating during the summer with their favourite pastimes that go hand in hand.

“We collaborated with Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, the makers of Australia’s favourite ginger beer, to craft our alcoholic ginger beer.

“Every drop is brewed and distilled in the beautiful town of Bundaberg.

“It has been fantastic to have our two famous Bundy drinks companies working together, and our alcoholic ginger beer is proving to be incredibly popular as we head into the warmer months.”

At each of the four Big Cash Catch Matches, Bundaberg will test the skills of one lucky fan as they try to take the Big Cash Catch.

There are four catches to be attempted across the select Big Cash Catch matches, with a successful catch taking home the impressive $50k and unsuccessful catches rewarded a consolation prize of $5000. To find out more click here.
