Local clubs, groups and organisations looking for tips and tricks to secure funding are invited to attend a grant writing workshop.
Hosted by Bundaberg Regional Council, the workshop will take place at Brothers Sports Club on Saturday 12 April from 10 am and is open to all community groups, art and recreation clubs, and non-profits.
The two-hour session will be facilitated by the CPR Group, a team of experts in governance support who specialise in delivering training and resources to empower clubs and support staff.
Bundaberg Regional Council Community Resilience and Connection portfolio spokesperson Councillor Tracey McPhee said grants were a valuable way for local organisations to secure much-needed funding.
“The Bundaberg Region is home to many groups working hard to deliver projects, events and programs to our community members,” Cr McPhee said.
“While funding is available, people can be discouraged by the grant writing process, especially if they have limited time or resources available.
“This workshop aims to make everything clearer by helping groups identify funding opportunities at all levels, understand what is required from different funding sources and then go on to write a winning application.”
