Celebrate Mother’s Day in style this year with an exquisite high tea set in the splendid surrounds of historic Fairymead House.
The event returns for its fifth year on Saturday 10 May after consistently selling-out since it began in 2021.
Guests will enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival, followed by a selection of teas and scrumptious treats.
Live entertainment will be provided by local singer Abigail Williams, and attendees can take part in a special Mother’s Day trivia competition.
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said Fairymead House was the perfect spot to spoil mum.
“Surrounded by the beautiful Bundaberg Botanic Gardens, mums will love the casual elegance of high tea on the Fairymead House verandah,” Cr Learmonth said.
“The annual event has proven to be popular with mums of all ages, and is a lovely occasion for family to get together.”
Councillor Learmonth said the return of Mothers’ Day trivia to the afternoon’s entertainment would add to the lively atmosphere of the occasion.
“The trivia competition is a light-hearted way to have a chat and test your knowledge of famous mothers.
“There are some great prizes to be won, and good fun to be had along the way.”
