Lifeline Bookfest Bundaberg returns to the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct this weekend, with the community invited to browse, discover and support a life-saving cause.
Since 2004, Bookfest has been a favourite on the local events calendar, offering thousands of pre-loved items at unbeatable prices.
This year, shoppers can explore 168 tables bursting with fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, rare finds, cookbooks, biographies, sci-fi, fantasy, self-help, and much more—plus DVDs, CDs, and LEGO for all ages, with prices starting at just 50 cents.
Bundaberg Lifeline Retail Manager Kylie Brogden said it was the perfect day out for book lovers, bargain hunters and families alike, with thousands of affordable treasures to uncover.
“It’s always amazing to see the community come together for something that supports such a meaningful cause,” Kylie said.
“Every item sold helps fund Lifeline’s Crisis Services, so when you shop at Bookfest, you’re not just scoring a great deal—you’re helping make sure no one faces their darkest moments alone.”
The event runs daily from 8 am to 4 pm with free entry and parking.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags or purchase a $1 Lifeline tote on-site.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
