New additions to experience at Kalki Moon

Lunar Lounge
Golf simulators have been introduced to the all new “Lunar Lounge’ area of Kalki Moon.

Over the past few months Kalki Moon has redefined the distillery experience by adding a café, air-conditioned spaces, and the all-new Lunar Lounge featuring cutting-edge golf simulators to create a unique, luxurious setting for both locals and visitors alike.

Always one to think outside the square founders and owners Rick and Kylie Prosser had a clear vision about adding more to their distillery experience.

While their highly rated Distillery Tours and Tastings continue to attract tourists who visit the Bundaberg Region, they found they required something new to get their local customers to the Distillery.

Find out what Rick had to say:

Over the past eight months the main Tastings Bar had a major renovation with it being the first upgrade since they opened in 2017.

The addition of a small café area to cater for those looking for a great setting for a coffee or to come relax and or use as a remote space with free Wi-Fi to work from.

The Café has been a great addition and although we love making and mixing cocktails and tastings with our gin and rum products, Coffee doesn’t attract excise tax.

I had a great conversation with an industry peer about continuing growth in a testing market, when I was told it will be those businesses that invest in their distilleries that will continue to grow, I thought what could I do to add to an already great experience?

As we all know summer in Queensland is hot and last summer was a real scorcher in the distillery.

We really needed an air condition area, but we just didn’t have the space until some became available after we discontinued our pre mix cans.

We thought, let’s air-condition the space and install a premium Qld Artisan Bar also to conduct gin and rum blending masterclasses.

Finally, the addition of a sport growing in popularity since Covid and one Kalki Moon have actively been involved with providing sponsorship to numerous golf events throughout the years.

We thought, why not install some golf simulators into a premium air conditioned space?

We found that Bundaberg doesn’t have any such equipment as well as also having limited practice facilities.

It was a tick of approval as it covers the best of both worlds with golfers having the technology to practice on state-of-the-art Trackman facilities or a group of friends getting together to have a Longest Drive Competition or play the Front 9 Holes of St Andrew’s in air-conditioned comfort.

It really is a special space unlike anything else in the region if not the state, think Premium Cocktail Bar come ultimate Man Cave, room for the ladies to have a few cocktails whilst the boys or girls have a laugh while swinging a golf club.

It is common for distilleries to have some type of games like a pool table, dart board or ping pong table but golf simulators take it to the next level.
