Story Squad
Children are invited to join the Story Squad on Monday afternoons during term time from 3 to 4 pm.
Listen to a story, read a story, bring your school reader or read something from the library and earn rewards!
SPER Debt Reduction Sessions
State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) training and education sessions take place every Thursday for those looking to reduce their SPER debt.
Sessions are free and take place from 9.30 to 12.30 pm.
Gin Gin Neighbourhood Technology Support
Community members requiring support with technology or help with basic computer skills are encouraged to book in for a technology support session by calling 4130 4630.
Sessions are available on Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm.
IWC Bundaberg Information Sessions
The following representatives from the IWC in Bundaberg will be delivering free wellness information sessions from 9.30 to 11.30 as detailed below:

Craft & Chat Group
The Craft & Chat Group meets every Monday from 9 to 11.30 am and everyone is welcome to bring their own projects or use some of the craft items available.
Imogen the Crafter in Residence will be hosting the following workshops during the Craft & Chat sessions.

31 March: Card making
14 April: Paint by number
No bookings are required and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
Balanced Bodies Pilates
Balanced Bodies takes place every Wednesday at the Gin Gin Youth Activity Centre from 1.45 to 2.45 pm.
Bring your own mat, towel and water bottle and enjoy a free pilates session, bookings required.
Cards ‘n All and Mahjong
Join in the fun with Cards ‘n All, every Monday from 1 to 4 pm and Tuesday from 8.30 to 11.30 am.
Those interested in playing Mahjong can join in on Mondays from 9 to 11 am.
Tai Chi for Health
Enjoy free Tai Chi for Health at the Gin Gin Youth Activity Centre every Monday from 9.30 to 11.30 pm.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
Makerspace Sophie’s Adults Only Watercolour Workshop
Take part in a free watercolour session with all supplies provided, every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm.
Residents are encouraged to reach out with any skills or abilities they would like to share as part of makerspace sessions.
Early Years Playgroup
Gin Gin Child and Family Support facilitates an Early Years Playgroup for children aged five and under every Wednesday fortnightly from 9.30 to 11.30 am.
Sessions are free to attend with morning tea provided, children should have a water bottle and spare clothes for messy play.
Let’s Play Together Playgroup
The Let’s Play Together Playgroup is held on the second Thursday of each month from 9.30 to 11.30 am.
The playgroup is aimed at children aged 18 months and under and provides basic art and sensory experiences to ease them into the learning environment.
Kolan Community Options
Kolan Community Options provides flexible care options to the frail and elderly, younger people with disabilities and their carers within the Gin Gin postcode.
Clients can enjoy a social lunch group on the second Thursday of the month as well as joint group outings which are bookable on 4130 4630.
The next outing will be a Landcare visit and lunch on Friday 28 March.
Charge Up! project
Gin Gin Residents looking to save on their electricity bill can get more support thanks to the Charge Up! project.
Community members can find out more at a pop-up stall on 12 March or attend the information session and workshop on 8 April with more dates to follow.
One-on-one sessions are also available on request and more information can be found on the project page.
