New look Council event calendar in 2025

2025 Council events
The Bundaberg Region is set for another stellar lineup of Council events in 2025.

From showstopping performances to foodie festivals and everything in between, the Bundaberg Region community is set for another stellar lineup of Council events in 2025.

Bundaberg Regional Council Events portfolio spokesperson Cr Steve Cooper said the events calendar had been rescoped this year with a focus on delivering value for money.

“Community events are an important part of what makes our region such a vibrant place to live and visit and we’re thrilled to see our two most popular festivals back in 2025,” Cr Cooper said.

“The iconic Childers Festival returns in the last weekend of July for what has become a much-loved tradition for locals and visitors alike.

“It’s followed by the Taste Bundaberg Festival which celebrates our food bowl status and burgeoning reputation as a foodie’s paradise.

“We have found efficiencies and reduced our overall event budget but, due to the high level of community involvement in these key celebrations, we knew we needed to retain them as the cornerstone of our events offering.

“Anzac Day will again be commemorated with support from Council and a program of Christmas festivities will close out the year on a high note.”

He said Council had already delivered two successful events this year in Australia Day and Lunar New Year.
