There’s plenty of fun to be had this festive season with Bundaberg Regional Council’s latest School Holiday Guide packed with a wide range of creative and adventurous activities.
The guide offers something for every interest and age group, from hands-on workshops, free movies, zoo keeper talks, Lego fun and much more.
Parents and caregivers will find an abundance of ideas to keep the kids entertained and engaged throughout the holiday period.
Families are encouraged to plan ahead, make bookings where necessary, and take full advantage of the exciting activities listed.

Harold and the Purple Crayon
Inside of his book, adventurous Harold (Zachary Levi) can make anything come to
life simply by drawing it.

Childers Community Christmas Movie
The morning will start off with The Grinch movie at the Paragon Theatre.
Each guest will receive a bag of popcorn on entry to enjoy while watching the movie.
This will be followed by Christmas arts and crafts.
Families are encouraged to come in their best ‘Grinch’ costumes.
There will be a prize for best dressed and a lucky door prize!

Zoo Keeper Talks
Throughout the holidays the zoo keepers at Alexandra Park Zoo will present talks
on the zoo animals.
This is an opportunity for the community to engage with the zoo team and learn about the regions species.

The Hinkler Trivia Trail

Board Game and Lego Fun

Lemon Flip: Collage Techniques with Marlies Oakley
The Lemon Flip workshop series are a Collective Youth Arts Workshop series designed for participants aged 12-17 years who are keen to connect and work with artists to learn new skills.
