Talk, read, sing and play and collect some gifts along the way with First 5 Forever and Bundaberg Regional Libraries.
Running from December 2024 to March 2025, children aged five and under can collect a different gift each month from libraries across the region.
Gifts will be available from the library counter on the first business day of each month and while stocks last.
The full collection will include four gifts selected to inspire families to explore the First 5 Forever themes of talk, read, sing and play with their young children.
Council’s Arts, Heritage and Asset Management portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said the giveaways were a great way to encourage families to visit and explore the library.
“First 5 Forever is a wonderful program encouraging Queensland families to play together and help young children build healthy brains and bodies,” Cr Learmonth said.
“We are excited to offer these giveaways to our youngest residents, especially in time for the upcoming holidays, so they can talk, read, sing and play together with their family members.
“Our hope is that they keep coming back, not only to collect all four gifts but also to make use of the many fantastic programs and services on offer in our local libraries.”
Participating libraries include Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin and Woodgate.
Gifts will only be given to children aged five and under who visit the library with an accompanying adult, no costs or registrations are required.
