Saturday 9.11.2024: Self select Jackpot Pairs:
Today we also had the semi final of Mens B grade Pairs between Garry Willoughby and Phil Nelson, Rob Jones and John Robinson.
The win going to Garry and Phil in a very tight, though game that saw the lead going from one pair to another at different times during the match!
At end 18 the score stood at 16 all, however a 5 on end 19 and a 2 on end 20 gave the win to Garry and Phil.
Thanks to Rob Anderson who stood as Umpire for the match.

COMPETITION
Members are asked to check the Competition draws and arrange games by mutual agreement where possible. Competitions can now be played on a Sunday on QRI Bowls days. The next two QRI Sundays are Sunday 24th November & Sunday 8th December. (Green will be cut & rolled if 3 or more games are played). If arranging a game, please let the GD know.
Competition Results: Open Triples FINAL: Congratulations to Cameron Walker, Kyle Franks and Mark Mizzi for winning the Open Triples. They defeated Wayne Watson, Dave Rye and Geoff Gill 19-7.

Just a reminder that when you are playing in Club Competitions, you must be in full Club uniform which includes shorts/trousers.
McCRACKEN CUP
The following players have been selected to represent Burnett in the McCracken Cup. Singles: Mark Mizzi, Pairs: Gino Mizzi, Keith Whalley, Fours: Malcolm Juillerat, Cameron Walker, Daniel Stanton-Cook, Darryl Austin.
Burnett plays Brothers at Bargara on Saturday at 1.00pm. The winner will advance to the semi-finals which will be played at Bargara 9.00am on Sunday.

Tuesday 12th November: 50/50 Day – where 50 percent of the green fees for the day is returned as prizemoney. Open 3 bowl Pairs (27 ends). Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.30pm for a 1 pm start.
Wednesday 13th November: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – has been put on hold until further notice.
Thursday 14th November: Free Coaching/Practice Drills are now finished for the year. Will recommence in the new year.
Thursday 14th November: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which stands at $660+ this week. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.

The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night 15th November at 7pm – Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased during the week from the Bar staff or on Friday night. There are 15 great prizes to be won – you need to be in it to win it! Proceeds from the raffle help to support your Club.
The Member’s Draw will also be held on Friday night 15th November and stands at $150, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
There will be live entertainment on Friday 15th November presented by ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday 22nd November entertainment will be provided by Vette English. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
