This holiday season Bundaberg Regional Council is spreading Christmas joy with a series of drive-in movie events across the region.
Designed to bring families and friends together, the screenings will take place in Bundaberg, Woodgate and Childers, as part of Council’s annual Christmas program.
The popular family films Elf, The Grinch and The Santa Claus will capture the essence of the holiday season with the charm of a classic drive-in experience.
Events portfolio spokesperson Cr Steve Cooper said attendees could enjoy movies under the stars while comfortably settled in their cars, making it a perfect outing for all ages.
“Christmas is a time for celebration and togetherness, and we’re thrilled to offer these drive-in movie nights as a way for families to come together and enjoy the festivities,” Cr Cooper said.
“These events provide a unique opportunity for residents to relax, unwind, and soak up the festive atmosphere.”
Friends and families can pack their favourite snacks and enjoy the comfort of their car while watching the beloved holiday classics.
Cr Cooper said by offering fun and affordable entertainment options, Council hoped to bring smiles and joy to families across the region during this special time of year.
“As the Christmas season approaches these drive-in movie events promise to be one of the highlights of the festivities in the Bundaberg Region,” he said.
“Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in on the fun, making cherished memories with loved ones.”
The Christmas drive-in movies will kick off in Bundaberg, before heading to Woodgate and concluding in Childers.
