To be held at Brother’s Sports Club on Saturday 9 November, organiser Cameron Macdonnel said the event would showcase the region’s talent while providing a great night out for music lovers.

Local talent will be on display when Bundaberg hosts A Night of Blues, Soul and Rock Music with the first-time event featuring performances from a range of local musicians.

What is this event called?

A Night of Blues, Soul and Rock Music

When and where will it be held?

Saturday 9 November at Brother Sports Club upstairs in the function room.

Doors open 6.30 pm with the music starting at 7 pm.

What can people expect?

Great music and entertainment with three different styles of music – blues, soul and rock.

The B-Side Blues band will be playing a great cross section of blues featuring the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, BB King, ZZ Top, George Thorogood, T-Bone Walker and Howlin’ Wolf.

The second set features the vocals of local singing angel Andy Luv performing an Etta James tribute ably supported by the soul band, a cracking horn section and harmonica player.

Songs include Etta’s biggest hits: At Last, I’d Rather Go Blind, I Wanna Make Love, You Can Leave Your Hat On. These are classics that have been covered by many other greats!

Finally get your rock ‘n roll fix with Intrepid Guild playing crowd favourites including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Powderfinger, Doobie Brothers and The Police.

Why is this event being held?

The bands wanted to showcase their skills to family, friends and the public as well as use the performance as a stepping stone to future gigs.

How many musicians will be involved?

All musicians are locals.

People should come along to see these bands performing at their very best.

The music will be of a very high level.

Costs are adults $30, concession $20 and U18 $15.
