Bundaberg Services Club have given the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal a boost, coming on board as Gold Sponsors for the annual fundraiser aimed at assisting community members in need at Christmas.
As part of their support, the club is raffling a brand-new Manta Ray MR16E Caravan from Takalvans Bundaberg and New Age Caravans.
Bundaberg Services Club General Manager Jodie Harris said the raffle offered residents a 1 in 1000 chance of winning, while also providing a local family with a Christmas hamper for every ticket sold.
“It’s an incredible prize where proceeds will contribute to an even more incredible cause,” Jodie said.
“All proceeds raised will go toward helping support families in need in the community this festive season with a Christmas hamper.
“If all tickets are sold, this raffle will support more than 400 local families.”
As returning sponsors, Jodie said the club wanted to increase their support this year to show their ongoing commitment to the local community.
“We have been long standing supporters of the appeal because of its important contribution and impact to the community,” Jodie said.
“As a Community Club, we feel it is our responsibility to assist our community whenever we can, and we pride ourselves in our dedicated approach to supporting the Bundaberg Region.
“It truly warms our hearts that our support of the appeal will have a significant impact on providing local families some much needed support over this festive season.”
Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn thanked the club for sponsoring the appeal this year.
“It’s wonderful to have the support of Bundaberg Services Club and I thank them for running the caravan raffle, which is such a fantastic opportunity for the community,” Mayor Blackburn said.
“We know people are doing it tough and we want to raise as much as we can for the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal.
“With great sponsorship support like this, we will be able to reach even more members of our community who need help to make their Christmas a little brighter.”
