Sunday 15.09.2024: social triples:

May not have been an exciting day for most players but it was a super exciting day for two bowlers.

Firstly for Rick Green who was playing his very first game as a new member.

Rick is a graduate of the Hannah Saturday morning come and try/play the game of bowls.

Robbie and Linda Hannah along with Umpire Rob Anderson and bowlers Jacquie Rogerson Gloria Newby give up their Saturday mornings to offer free coaching to anyone who would like to try out the game.

They have had several success stories and Rick now joins that group of people enjoying an afternoon of fun, friendship and bowls!

Second bowler was me, back after a four month break from  major ankle surgery.

I played half a game sharing with Karen Henderson who happily split the game with me to ease my way back into the swing of things.

(And just saying my team won!)

Winning rink draw: rink 11: Karen Henderson/Lesley Christensen Trevor Christensen George Weir
