Bundaberg club celebrates Ladies Day Drive

The annual Ladies Day Drive for members of the Bundaberg Four Wheel Drive Club was run on Father’s Day.

The idea of the outing is so the male members can have the day off from driving.

If you didn’t have a lady driver, you were fined, unless the male driver got dressed up for the occasion in ladies gear.

The outing is a fun family day out and about, with fines being given for any indiscretions.

Any money raised on the day is donated to a charity which our club nominates each year.

The beneficiary of our fundraising efforts will be the Angels Community Group.

Angels Community Group is a dedicated organization providing crucial support to Bundaberg and the surrounding community.

Through a variety of charity programs, they aim to address the diverse needs of vulnerable populations, including those facing food insecurity, financial hardship, and social isolation.

Initiatives include the Emergency Hamper Program, Angels School Lunch Program, Angels Santa Assistance, and Angels Back to School Program.

By fostering a sense of community and offering practical assistance, Angels Community Group strives to make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in need.

Our convoy of 11 vehicles headed out to explore with the drive being a more laid back scenic trip taking in Cordalba State Forest, Paradise Dam, Chowey Bridge, Mingo Crossing and Boolboonda Tunnel.

We raised just under $100 for the day.

Lunch at Mingo Crossing was provided by the caretakers and was enjoyed by all.

Mingo Crossing is a great place to camp and explore the area.

Money raised on the trip will be added to our other fundraising venture, our 2025 Calendar, which showcases trips and members vehicles out and about, and are on sale from the club now.

Contact us if you wish to support our efforts by buying one for the bargain price of $5.
