Our greens were running to perfection thanks to the skill of our green keeper Aaron. The coffee was great and the beer/wine was cold and best of all the the competition and company was the best yet! So good to see players from all across the region particularly our friends from Gin Gin who made the treck down. Also all our southern visiting friends who have made Woodgate their second ‘home’!
The competition was so close we had six teams with all three wins: Our first and second place getters each had 3 wins and 31 ends, the eventual winner being decided on margins. Likewise third and fourth placegetters each had 3 wins with 30 ends and again the margins came into play. Fifth place had 3 wins and 29 1/2ends.
Thanks to our two playing Umpires Rob Anderson and Ian Kirby and also to Col and Doreen Ensby who spent the day in the office keeping things on track!
