Food lovers are invited to celebrate the start of 10 tasty days of the Taste Bundaberg Festival at the festival launch party, Fri-YAY! in Bargara.
Tickets to the popular opening night event, to be held on Friday 30 August, are expected to sell fast as guests snap up the opportunity to mingle with Taste Bundaberg Festival producers, chefs and event hosts.
Party goers will be entertained by the upbeat sounds of the Bermuda Social Band while enjoying the atmosphere beneath twinkling lights in the soaring sailcloth tents.
Local food trucks and beverage suppliers will be on hand for guests to purchase a casual tasty dinner, with a range of cuisines to choose from.
Bundaberg Regional Council Tourism, Airport and Information Technology Services portfolio spokesperson Councillor Steve Cooper said the annual festival was a wonderful showcase of the region’s food producers.
“Bundaberg is the food bowl of Queensland and Council is proud to highlight the fantastic fresh produce grown here,” he said.
“The launch is always a fun night, and a great way to kick off the festival’s 10 day program of farm tours, unique dining experiences and cooking demonstrations.
“There are dozens of events throughout the Taste Bundaberg Festival that show what the region’s amazing chefs and producers can do with the abundant produce available to them.”
The ticket price includes entry, one locally produced beverage and entertainment.
Tickets for Taste Bundaberg Festival events are on sale from noon Wednesday 3 July.
