Competition:
Members are asked to check the Competition draws and start arranging games by mutual agreement where possible. Competitions can now be played on a Sunday on QRI Bowls days. The next two QRI Sundays are Sunday 23 June 9 am start and the 14 July 9 am start. (Green will be cut & rolled). If arranging a game, please let the GD know.
Competition Results: Championship Singles FINAL: Congratulations to Mark Mizzi for winning the Singles Final as he defeated Keegan Lankowski 25-14. Mark will now represent Burnett in the District Champion of Champions playoffs being played this weekend. Saturday games are at Burnett with the Finals being played at Woodgate on Sunday.
Championship Pairs FINAL: Congratulations to Keith Whalley and Darryl Austin for winning the final against Cameron Walker, Lee Mason 26-11. Keith and Darrly will now represent Burnett in the District Champion of Champions playoffs on the 6th and 7th of July.

CITY VS COUNTRY – thank you to the 16 Burnett members that played in the City Vs Country game at Woodgate. The City teams won 7 rinks and the Country team won 7 rinks, however, City won overall with a margin of 32 shots. Burnett won 2 rinks and lost 2 rinks with a winning margin of +7. Burnett def Moore Park 20-9, Burnett def Bargara 20-11, Burnett lost to Moore Park 14-17 and Burnett lost to Bargara 16-26.

Tuesday 18 June: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.
Wednesday 19 June: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15 pm with games starting at 6.30 pm. Green fees are $10 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prize money. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 20 June: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30 pm, names in by 6 pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which will be $403+ this week. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 21 June: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.

The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night 21 June at 7 pm – Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased during the week from the Bar staff or on Friday night. There are 15 great prizes to be won – you need to be in it to win it! Proceeds from the raffle help to support your Club.
The Member’s Draw will also be held on Friday night 21 June and stands at $50, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes. One of our lucky Bowling Members won the $1070 Members Draw last Friday night. Congratulations!
There will be live entertainment on Friday 21 June presented by ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday 28 June entertainment will be provided by Keely Ellen. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
A Courtesy Bus is now available on a Friday Night. The first pick up will be any time after 5 pm and the final return trip will be 9 pm. To make a booking call 0423439684 after 4 pm and speak to the driver directly. (Bundaberg Suburban areas only). A small donation to help cover fuel costs would be appreciated.
