Get ready to warm up your winter school holiday plans with a range of fun family activities on offer in Bundaberg Regional Council’s Winter School Holiday Guide.
The program is packed full of free and ticketed activities with something for everyone, including new additions and familiar favourites.
Those looking to let their imaginations loose and celebrate colour can join in the Create with Pride art workshops hosted by the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery on 22 June.
The annual Flourish Family Fun Day takes place on 27 June and will see Boreham Park transformed into a hub of happy activity as families gather to have some fun and acknowledge the region’s newest residents as part of the Welcome Baby Celebration.
Another highlight will be live-music comedy performances from best-selling author, musician and performer Deano Yipadee at the Childers, Gin Gin and Bundaberg Libraries.
Kids of all ages are invited to read, sing and bounce along to his collection of chart-topping scholastic books and songs featuring Nee Naw the Little Fire Engine, Stink-o-saurus and Granny’s Undies.
Audiences can also enjoy another book being brought to life at the free screening of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
Based on the story by Bernard Waber, the movie follows the Primm family as they move to New York City where their young son Josh becomes friends with a singing crocodile called Lyle who loves baths, caviar and great music.
