Locals interested in delving deeper to learn more about Bert Hinkler can enjoy a new free exhibition, Bert: Out of the archive II – Wartime Connections, at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation.
Open from 2 February to 27 April, the exhibition features never-before-seen items of memorabilia that form part of the Hinkler Hall of Aviation Memorabilia Trust Collection.

The exhibition provides a glimpse into Bert’s connection to war through unique new items including objects, photographs and newspaper articles.
Bert: Out of the archive II is free to view at the Lex Rowland Gallery at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, with normal admission fees applying for the Exhibition Hall.
There will also be a fascinating free guided tour of the exhibition on 24 April from 2 to 3 pm as part of the Australian Heritage Festival, with afternoon tea provided.
