The intersection of Johanna Boulevard and Commercial Street will have changed traffic conditions, including night-time detours, as work begins on a safety upgrade next month.
Bundaberg Regional Council will carry out the safety improvements from early March 2024 until the end of June 2024, weather permitting.
During construction the intersection will be closed to all traffic from 6.30 pm to 5.30 am.
The road will be open to traffic during the day and will be subject to traffic management restrictions.
Detours for safety upgrade Johanna Boulevard
While road closures are active there will be detours in place via Airport Drive and Enterprise Street to assist motorists, pedestrians and cyclists with alternate routes.
Deliveries to affected businesses during active hours will be via the detours as there will be no access through the work site.
Bundaberg Regional Council is aware of the inconvenience construction work causes and thanks residents and road users in advance for their patience and co-operation.
