Local businesses are encouraged to showcase their love for food and the region’s fresh produce as part of the 2024 Taste Bundaberg Festival.
Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting businesses to apply to participate in the 10-day festival that celebrates the region’s food producers and proud agricultural ties.
Local businesses can elect to host an event, participate in the Taste Trail, run a tour or tasting, offer a Pick-your-own experience or hold a Masterclass.
Applications to be involved in the festival are now open, for the jam-packed program kicking off in August this year.
Events on the festival program aim to showcase authentic food and drink experiences shaped from the rich farmlands and pristine coastline of the Bundaberg Region.
The Taste Trail this year will expand on last year’s popular Dessert Trail by featuring both Taste-specific menu offerings and farm gate products.
The trail will guide festival participants around local farm gates and restaurants to buy farm fresh products and sample limited-edition menu items developed specifically for the Taste Bundaberg Festival.
The 2024 Taste Bundaberg Festival will feature a culinary-filled schedule running from 30 August to 8 September.
Eligibility requirements for 2024 Taste Bundaberg Festival
Your business is:
- Operating within the boundaries of Bundaberg Regional Council
Your event will:
- Display a strong connection to local food/wine/brewed products/farming and/or food production
- Showcase food of which 75% has been grown, caught, farmed or created within the Bundaberg Region
Businesses with event ideas that tick all of these boxes are encouraged to submit an application.
All applications will be assessed for suitability and notified of outcome after the closing date.
Applications need to be completed and submitted by Wednesday 6 March 2024.
