The region’s favourite events will be returning in 2024 along with some new additions for the community to enjoy.

Mark your calendars as the Bundaberg Region’s favourite events will be returning throughout 2024, with some new additions in the mix.

This year has kicked off with a brand-new event, Summer Sundays.

These free, beachside concerts launched on 7 January ensuring Elliott Heads, Bargara, Burnett Heads and Moore Park Beach each have a turn to shine and come alive with an array of music and stalls, as the free concert moves to a new location each week throughout January.

Then, the region’s major destination event season gets into full swing with Childers Festival on the last weekend in July.

In mid-August the Canterbury Bulldogs are back at Salter Oval to face the Dolphins.

Shortly after, locals and visitors can indulge in an annual feast as the Taste Bundaberg Festival returns with another bumper 10 day festival.

At the end of October, the community will be immersed in 10 days celebrating the region’s arts, culture and natural beauty with the Milbi Festival.

This event is also the annual welcome home for the turtles to nest.

To close out the year, the wonder of the annual Christmas program will be back right across the region.
