Local shoppers looking to bag a bargain and support a good cause can visit the new Neighbours Aid Op Shop which officially opened at 7/1 Enterprise Street on 11 December.
The charity was founded on the Sunshine Coast in 2002 to raise funds for disadvantaged children and their communities around the world and has chosen Bundaberg as its ninth op shop location.
Bundaberg Manager Paula Stephenson said the store would have a treasure trove of goods on offer.
“The Bundaberg and Wide Bay communities will really benefit from Neighbours Aid opening an op shop here with great quality used goods being offered at great prices,” Paula said.
“Neighbours Aid has a reputation for that old fashioned op shop feel and our store is no exception.
“Even though it is in a wonderful, bright and spacious building, you will find we are keeping our prices competitive and all funds raised go to a fantastic cause.”
Selling clothing, furniture, bric-a-brac and everything in between, the store aims to be a one stop shop where locals can easily donate quality goods with a drive through drop off or arrange for it to be collected by the organisation for free.
The op shop will mostly be run by volunteers from the local community and anyone looking to join the team can apply online here.
