Little ones looking to be treated like royalty can now enjoy a pamper party at Dakota’s Petite Dream, a new kids’ day spa at 84 Targo Street.
Children aged five to ten can indulge in party services and treatments including manicures, pedicures, facials, glitter tattoos and hair styling.
The business is also Blue Card, CPR and First Aid accredited.
Owner Dakota Anthony said her aim was to create memorable parties and take the stress out of planning for parents.
“Our birthday girls and guests are treated like princesses, with the birthday girl even getting her own take-home tiara,” Dakota said.
“We cover everything from invitations, party games, prizes, pampering, a full lolly buffet and party bags for each guest.
“We want all girls to be confident in their own skin and embrace their uniqueness.”
Dakota said she had the idea to create the day spa after moving to Bundaberg and noticing a gap in the market.
“I was inspired to open a kids’ spa and party venue after previously working in one in Brisbane whilst completing my diploma in beauty therapy,” she said.
“I loved that work was so rewarding, the kids were filled with joy.
“Which led me to open a mobile party business in Blackwater.
“Then after relocating to Bundaberg and realising we had nothing like this here, we went ahead and bought this little cottage and renovated [it] into a kids’ day spa.”
Dakota said she had plans to expand services in the future to include workshops as well as mummy and me packages.
“[These would] allow mum and daughter to receive pedicures, manicures etc. in a space where daughters can put on a movie and not feel rushed,” she said.
“We look forward to continuing to create memorable experiences!”
