The Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre has a range of upcoming activities for kids, starting with a celebration of Book Week.
The community is encouraged to paint Gin Gin REaD this week as local businesses create special displays based on their favourite story books.
There will be a prize draw for children who visit the most displays with entries to be submitted at the Gin Gin Community Hub by 30 August.
Young readers can also join in the fun on Wednesday by dressing up as their favourite book character.
Other upcoming events include a pop-up playgroup, children’s healthy eating session and a two-part sculpture workshop for the school holidays.
