The special guest for the tenth annual Ability Ball at the Bundaberg Multiplex on 19 August has been announced as none other than NRL legend Wally Lewis.
Community Lifestyle Support (CLS) Events Manager Trevor Sands said Wally was keen to attend as soon as he heard about the event, locking in the date early this year.
“It means a lot to CLS to have the king of rugby league attend our event, it makes for a really special night with so many league fans attending,” Trevor said.
“It’s a real pleasure to have him come up and he is very excited to meet everyone.”
The popular event hosted by CLS aims to bring the community together to uplift and celebrate people’s abilities.
This year’s ball has proved so popular that extra tables have been added and are selling fast.
“This will be our biggest Ability Ball yet,” Trevor said.
“We have fantastic entertainment lined up with the ’70s verses ’80s tribute band coming up with 23 costume changes, so get your dancing shoes ready.”
A surprise special guest from Home and Away will also appear at the ball and will be announced on the night.
The Ability Ball is open to the whole community to attend.
