Rugby league fans are encouraged to save the date as general public tickets to see the Bulldogs take on the Dolphins in Bundaberg go on sale this Thursday.
It’s the second time the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will kick off in the region after a sell-out game at Salter Oval in 2022.
The team will again make Bundaberg their hometown for a day when they take on the Dolphins on Sunday 30 July from 2 pm.
Bundaberg Region Mayor Jack Dempsey said there was plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming game.
“The mighty Bundaberg Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will be back soon to take on the Dolphins in what is expected to be an adrenaline pumping match,” he said.
“With the success of last year’s event, 2023 is set to be even bigger and better and I encourage everyone to don their blue and white in support of a team that gives back so much to our community.
“Up the mighty Bulldogs!”

Sport and Recreation portfolio spokesperson Cr Vince Habermann said many changes had been made for this year’s game to ensure ticketholders would get the best experience possible.
“This year, due to feedback from the 2022 game, an increase in seating capacity has been made with approximately 1400 additional seats available,” he said.
“There will also be designated accessibility areas available and even more grandstand seating on offer.”
Changes to tickets this year include:
- General Admission has been reclassified to Standing Only tickets.
- Additional grandstands (ticketed) will be provided at the northern and southern ends of the grounds while the premium sideline grandstand has also increased its seating capacity.
- 22 dedicated (ticketed) PWD seating located either within the main grandstand or directly in front (ground level). A number of these also cater for a carer.
Tickets are available to the general public from 4 pm Thursday on Ticketek, here.
