All members are asked to check the draws and continue to arrange games by mutual agreement. Priority is to be given to the Championship Singles & Pairs as they need to be completed by mid-June so our winners can contest the District Champion of Champions.

Tuesday 23rd May: $300 Open Triples – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The Two Bowl Toucher Jackpot will be played after the game and is currently $50.
Wednesday 24th May: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 25th May: ‘Social Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. $10 green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 25th May: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which has restarted. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 26th May: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The Friday Jackpot will be $100.

CHANGES TO CLUB OPENING TIMES
The Club will be having some new opening hours effective from Monday 22nd May – on a Wednesday the Club will be opening at 11am not 10am as previously. The other change is that the Club will be opening later on a Thursday – now opening at 2pm not 11am as previously.
75th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
On Friday the 2nd of June the Club will be hosting a free Morning Tea commencing at 10.30am. During the M/T you will be able to view Club Memorabilia celebrating the past 75 years of the Clubs history. All present and past members are most welcome. For catering purposes, you MUST rsvp by Friday the 26th of May to Kellie Kemp or via email to burnbowl@bigpond.net.au
In addition, the Club will be hosting a 75th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday night (3rd June) commencing at 6.00pm. There will be a 3-course meal plus live entertainment for the low cost of $40 per person. Tickets for the Dinner can be purchased at the bar.
Burnett Bowls Club has a long and great history, so please come along and support your Club and enjoy the celebrations.

CLUB NEWS
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11am – 9pm, Thursday 2pm – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 9pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Member’s Draw was not won last week and will now be $170, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
