This year’s Bundaberg Show will offer extra free entertainment aimed at providing show-goers more value for the ticket price.

In addition to the full ring program and crowd favourite exhibits, there will be a free puppet show, pygmy goat display, medieval re-enactments and radio-controlled car races all included in the price of admission.

Troppo Magic will perform an amazing, mystifying comedy and magic act each day of the show, which is sure to delight young and old.

Free face painting for children aged 10 and younger will keep the little ones smiling, with face painting available for older kids for a small fee.

Eljay Freestyle Motorcross will perform daily near the food court, and as part of the evening entertainment in the main ring, sending hearts racing with their breath-taking stunts.

Show Society President Maree See said there was a conscious effort this year to provide more free entertainment for show-goers on a budget.

“Visitors can bring a picnic, come and go throughout the day, enjoy the entertainment on offer, all for the price of the entry ticket,” she said.

Wristbands will be provided for visitors who wish to leave and return later in the same day for no additional cost.

Included in the Friday show ticket is entry to the rodeo from 5 pm to 9 pm, with access from within the main show area.

The Rodeo Bar will open from 4 pm with musical act Spargo Brothers performing from 9 pm to 11.30 pm.

“The Rodeo is so popular, it will be a real drawcard for Friday show goers,” Maree said.

Thursday 1 June will see 30 lucky locals take home a share in $10,000 by participating in Bundaberg’s biggest cash cannon giveaway, to be held in the Rodeo Arena.

Information on how to enter the cash cannon competition is advertised on Hitz939 in the Matty & Trace breakfast program, 6 am to 9 am daily in the lead up to the show.

Bundaberg Show runs from Wednesday 31 May to Friday 2 June 2023.

Tickets available online or at the gate.

Free unmanned public car parking available onsite.
