Divot stomping, fashion competitions, fast-paced field action and more will be back at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct when Pop-Up Polo returns next month.
This year award-winning entertainment, glamour, excitement, premium hospitality and the thrill of the world’s fastest ball game will be part of the festivities, to be held on Saturday 24 June.
Beyond the adrenaline packed polo action, Pop-Up Polo is an interactive event where there are a number of opportunities throughout the day for guests to win prizes and immerse themselves in the various activities, including:
- The famous Divot Stomp
- Fashion on the Field competition
- Car V’s Pony Race
- Men’s and Women’s Dash
According to organiser Events Queensland, the inaugural polo took place in 2019 and was a resounding success in terms of economic stimulus and community engagement.
More than 2000 guests were in attendance, 30 per cent of which attended from outside the local government area.
Event director Matthew Turich said the Bundaberg Region presented as a truly unique and diverse destination for the events and tourism industry.
“Bundaberg has always been a great spot for both locals and tourists,” he said.
“It’s got everything from picturesque beaches, diverse and innovative agriculture sector, evolving hospitality scene and we are so excited to be able to bring our event to the area to be a part of the community.
“We look forward to partnering with local businesses, Bundaberg Regional Council and the broader community to deliver a world class event, which will provide social engagement, economic stimulus and showcase the very best the region has to offer to an extensive audience.”
