There will be two flights per week from Melbourne to Bundaberg, starting from 10 May at $89 one way.

Melbourne to Bundaberg flights have officially gone on sale today with Bonza announcing routes to start in May.

Twelve routes to 11 destinations have been added to the Fly Bonza app this morning.

There will be two flights per week from Melbourne to Bundaberg, starting from 10 May at $89 one way.

The news comes as Bonza continues to get wheels up across its route map of 17 destinations and 27 routes including its first flight to Victoria on Tuesday when the inaugural Sunshine Coast to Avalon took flight.

Earlier this week Bonza celebrated the upcoming Melbourne to Bundaberg sale with footage of Bundaberg’s Brillante family reuniting with son and Melbourne Victory Captain, Josh.

In the heart-warming Facebook video, the airline shared the special moment Josh’s parents Tess and John surprised him ahead of a big game to celebrate its partnership with football team Melbourne Victory.

“We can’t wait to reunite loved ones and bring people together with direct flights as we prepare to go on sale with our Melbourne-based routes next week,” the Facebook post read.

Throughout the video, the Brillante family shared how difficult it had been living so far apart after Josh left his hometown at 15 to pursue his football career dreams.

How to book your Bonza flights

  • The Fly Bonza app is where travellers can book, check in, manage their bookings, order
food on demand when travelling and access in-flight entertainment
  • The app is also part of Bonza’s strategy to communicate directly with customers in the
case of a delay or disruption to their journey which in turn, aims to reduce the impact on
    customers’ plans
  • The app’s design is aimed at allowing Bonza customers to go from search to booking
confirmation in less than five minutes and to remove the need for lengthy call wait times,
opting for digital chat as the primary way to service customers. Since going on sale last
week, customers have been embracing this technology
  • For those customers who prefer to book through a travel agent, that is also an option as
hundreds of local agencies have registered with Bonza to book their clients on the
    low-cost carrier

Book now on the Fly Bonza app.

  1. So looking forward to flights from Bundaberg to Melbourne, shame it’s not earlier as we have a big birthday coming up in April and quite a few family coming.
Still good news for the future.

  2. I haven’t checked out prices yet , but I hope the $89.00 is both ways. I would like to see my son and can’t afford $200 one way but $ 178.00 return I can. Looking forward to planning my trip.

  3. We really need competitive airline to compete against Qantas The fares from Rockhampton to Brisbane is Ridiculous and the fares from Brisbane is just as Ridiculous. Put a couple of hundred on extra I could fly overseas which is a lot more milage ????on the tank..
Than a small flight with in Australia !!
