Local sisters Sally Bilic and Lisa Free have opened the doors of their CBD boutique The Mini Munchkins, a one-stop-shop for all things baby and family.
The duo said their boutique specialised in sensory and development play for young children along with swimwear, clothing, educational books, nappy bags and gift hampers, with the community invited to enjoy the new store from 18 February.
“We are two sisters who have finally taken the courage to start our own business focused around educational toys to help develop young kids from the moment they are born while also supporting new parents and much more,” Lisa said.
“We stock sensory and developmental toys, swimwear for the family, educational books, nappy bags, self care for parts and build-your-own gift hampers.
“We also provide gift vouchers.”
Sally said the pair had always had a dream to open their own business together and when presented the opportunity, they both took the leap.
“We have always talked amongst each other about running a business together,” Sally said.
“Once Lisa had her little girl we found our niche.
“There is a huge opportunity in Bundaberg for baby goods.”
Not only will Lisa and Sally provide their goods from the shop on Targo Street, they will also launch an online website.
“We will be launching an online store on the 18 February that will be shipping Australia-wide,” the sisters said.
“This will be great for anyone who doesn’t live locally or if they want to spoil a loved one from afar.”
The Mini Munchkins opens Saturday 18 February at 4, 37 Targo Street.
Opening hours are:
