Queensland Ballet is bringing community classes to the Bundaberg Region this week, with dancers of all skillsets, ages and abilities encouraged to take part.
On Sunday 12 February a range of classes will be hosted at Bundaberg Dance Academy, 29 Victoria Street, and have been made possible through the Regional Arts Development Fund.
RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions.
The initiative invests in local arts and cultural priorities, as determined by local communities, across Queensland.
Queensland Ballet’s regional engagement specialist Katrina George said the organisation was excited to hit the road again to spread the magic of ballet as part of the 2023 Community Regional Tour.
“RADF has enabled Queensland Ballet’s Community and Education Team of Teaching Artists to visit Bundaberg on Sunday 12 February and Monday 13 February,” she said.
“Young dancers aged two to 17 years, adults, and senior participants, as well as school and dance teachers are invited to join Queensland Ballet for a range of inclusive workshops to explore the wonderful world of ballet.
“Queensland Ballet is also offering inspiring classes for adults of all ages, with a focus on improving poise, core strength, memory and mobility.
“QB Petit Pointers is Queensland Ballet’s early years dance program, with lessons set within a framework of storytelling, exploration and artistic play.”
