Between October and April the Bundaberg Region coastline becomes home to the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland.
Bundaberg Regional Council launched a Turtle Awareness campaign to provide advice to residents, businesses and visitors.
With the festive season known for an increase in waste, here are a few tips to help you reduce, reuse and recycle right this festive season:
1. Not sure if you can recycle the custard carton? Check it before you chuck it and find out what you can recycle by using the Recycle Mate app.
2. Did Santa bringing you a new laptop for Christmas? If you can’t sell your old computer, you might be able to recycle it for free through Council’s eWaste program. Find out more here.
3. Unsure what to do with the mountain of wrapping paper and gift bags after all the presents are done? Save it all for next year!
