Parks across the region will be transformed into outdoor cinemas as part of Council’s Christmas program, with residents invited to gather the family for a free, fun and festive night out under the stars.
Gin Gin will screen The Grinch, Childers will screen Elf and The Santa Clause to be played in Bundaberg.
Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the movie nights provided a great opportunity to spend time together with family or friends, with a new offering as part of the event available this year.
“The free movies in the park are a great chance for you to get your family and friends together and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year,” Cr Learmonth said.
“This year, you can order Santa’s VIP Experience which will see you enjoy a festive picnic set up for the movie.
“We look forward to seeing many people out and about enjoying the nights, as well as many of the other events that are on offer as part of the extensive Christmas program.”
For $60 per group of up to five people, Santa’s VIP Experience includes your own festive picnic setup and a grazing platter full of local goodies.
$5 from each VIP Experience ticket sold will be donated back to the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal, supporting families in need this Christmas.
You can book tickets for the movies, and all events in the Christmas program here from midday today.
