Preparations are well under way for the popular Carinbundi Foundation annual golf day with local businesses eFlux and SSS Strawberries leading the way.
The local businesses are encouraging others in the community to come together and sponsor a hole as part of Carinbundi Foundation’s major fundraiser for the year.
Community relations manager Tina Marshall said the Carinbundi Foundation was set up specifically to build quality, affordable homes for people living with a disability in Bundaberg, for life.
“The Foundation helps people living with a disability to grow and thrive through providing quality accommodation at a rate discounted from the open market rate,” Tina said.
“Because we own the properties we can offer security and peace of mind to residents and their families, knowing they have a long-term home for as long as they want or need.”
Local businesses are encouraged to support the day by sponsoring a hole for $250 (without a team) or $450 (with a team) or simply enter a team and have some fun on the day.
The event will tee off at 10 am with a four person Ambrose – a fun format which sees all four players working together as a team.
There will be raffles and other fun activities, all with fantastic prizes on offer. Refreshments, including a coffee van and a barbecue will be available.
Tina said the golf day was a fantastic opportunity for business and community to come together and have some fun, whilst raising important funds that can make a difference in someone’s life.
‘To have the support of eFlux and SSS Strawberries leading the way for businesses and the community to come together raise funds for the important work of the foundation is fantastic,’ she said.
The event will be held on Sunday, 2 October at the Bundaberg Golf Club.
