THREE will be performed on the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre stage on Friday 20 May.

Australasian Dance Collective (ADC) will be unveiling its renowned works on the Moncrieff Entertainment stage on Friday 20 May in the show, THREE.

THREE is a performance made up of a trio of works from choreographers Jack Lister, Melanie Lane and Hofesh Shechter.

The show premiered at QPAC in May last year and saw critics raving, describing it as a “mesmerising and ambitious triple bill”.

The three choreographers performing in the show have come from different backgrounds, bringing their unique styles to the stage.

Australasian Dance Collective Artistic Director Amy Hollingsworth said the breadth of the triple bill featuring Australian and international choreographers would not only showcase the range and versatility of the collective’s dancers, but would also delight audiences.

“We all respond to art in different ways, the gift of a varied program such as this is there really something for everyone from moments of intricate and haunting beauty to powerful and raw abandon,” she said.

“Audiences will be treated to three completely unique dance works that illustrate the incredible talent of the ADC dancers.

“Each piece is quite different in the movement style, the music and the design so there will be something for everyone, including those new to contemporary dance.

“This is a rare and inspiring opportunity to see one of Australia’s leading contemporary dance companies perform works by local, national and internationally renowned choreographers.”

Excitement for THREE Moncrieff performance

It is the first time the show has been performed regionally, with the tour one that the team is excited to perform in Bundaberg while connecting with audiences through a mutual love of dance.

“We are thrilled that for the first time in three years, we’re taking the collective on tour with this phenomenal trio of works,” Amy said.

“We remain committed to enriching the artform of contemporary dance in Queensland and beyond and are passionate about regional and remote access and inclusion and regular regional touring goes to the heart of this.”

This show is recommended for those aged 12 years and older.
